Gorillaz Giveaway

Bose partnered with the legendary band Gorillaz to create custom earbuds for each of the band members. Through a giveaway run by Bose and promoted by the band, fans would have a chance to win a pair of the custom earbuds. The giveaway would run for several weeks highlighting one band member, with a chance to win their earbuds that week. Bose was able to connect with a dedicated fan base and garner brand equity through this partnership and activation. The creative assets consisted of a landing page, product imagery, and social content to promote the giveaway.

We created a landing page where fans could not only enter the giveaway but also spend a little time with each character. To maximize the partnership, we highlighted one character each week and shared a simple but engaging puzzle as a low barrier for entry. For solving the puzzle, fans could enter to win that characters custom earbuds. The overall experience was made to mirror the personality of the band, their latest album, and leverage iconic imagery of the Gorillaz.

We created product renders that closely matched the cases in production and the likeness of all four band members. These were the hero images of the giveaway and focused on the overall product design.

The giveaway was also promoted through both Bose and Gorillaz social accounts to help spread awareness of the activation. The goal was to drive traffic to the landing page and alert fans when a new band member earbuds became available.
